"Utter conundrum!", he cried in disgust while looking at his face in his bathroom mirror. He was vexed, so profoundly that it was almost impossible to find a way through his labyrinthine web of thoughts mixed with strong feelings. He just could not deal with the fact that the person he loved was probably destined to lead a terrible life and he couldn't do anything about it. No, she was not his wife or girlfriend or sister or mother: she was the love of his life whom he wasn't meant to be with. It was like a tsunami of overwhelming feelings that flooded and rampaged his addled mind.

His wife hugged him and placed a peck on his cheek. Within split second, he woke up and hugged her tightly and said, "I'll always be with you no matter what". She said, "I know". It was 6:45 AM, time to get ready for work.
